Planning for Efficient Freight Movement in Tampa Bay

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven actively plans for and invests in transportation infrastructure to provide for the safe and efficient movement of freight in the Tampa Bay region.  These plans and implementation strategies are coordinated with other transportation, land use, and economic development initiatives developed by regional and local agencies throughout FDOT District Seven.  This website provides an overview of some of the key freight plans and resources that have been developed by FDOT in collaboration with diverse stakeholders in the region and summarizes current freight projects that are funded annually to improve the safety and operational efficiency of freight transport.
