Through coordinated planning efforts with partner agencies and private freight providers, both large scale strategic investments and smaller scale operational improvements are identified and programmed for funding to enhance freight mobility and accessibility in the region. Freight operational improvements are organized and prioritized within a Comprehensive Freight Improvement Database (CFID), and then funds are allocated annually to implement the improvement strategies.
