Activities related to the Strategic Freight Plan have been a partnership among planning agencies, intermodal transshipment agencies, economic development groups, and the trucking and rail community. This wide range of freight interests has coordinated to define investment strategies to move freight in the Tampa Bay region more efficiently. Each organization has provided knowledge and perspective from their different areas of expertise that shaped the development of the Strategic Freight Plan. The plan sets the framework for future collaboration between the different agencies and stakeholders to actively pursue and implement solutions for improving freight accessibility and mobility in the Tampa Bay region.
