The purpose of this handbook is to document the information available from CFID within the context of a web-based user interface. Section 1 describes the user interface, its guest user structure and its functionality. Section 2 describes the data fields associated with the transportation issues and needs records in the CFID database.
CFID is housed on the www.tampabayfreight.com website. The site includes a CFID page giving an overview of the tool, a map viewer tool, a technical support page and a contact page designed for general correspondence and comments. The map viewer is designed to allow guest users to search and access records, view information within a map application.
The website has a number of different functions that enable the guest user to view and filter data by a number of different topics. There are also functions available to manage record content that have associated access privileges for the different users.
CFID is a multifaceted database containing a rich array of attribute and spatial information about issues affecting goods movement on roadways in the Greater Tampa Bay Region. The database covers eight counties, including Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties in FDOT District Seven.
CFID is organized as a searchable inventory of transportation infrastructure issues that impact goods movement. Each identified issue is represented as a unique record in the database, which includes detailed information about the issue location, the observed problem and context, and its relationship to the regional freight transportation network as well as current transportation plans.
